the problem w overly violent scenes

 I DONT NEED TO BE TRAUMATIZED TO KNOW HOW BAD IT IS

SOMR MOVIES BE ACTUALLY SEEMIN LIKE THEY PROMOTING THIS SHIT W HOW MUCH THEY SHOW SUCH DISTURBING SCENES

CONSTANTLY SEEIBG SOMETHING BAD MAKES U DESENSITIZED TO IT

A GOOD EXAMPLE OF TELLING TGE AUDIENCE HOW BAD SOMETHING IS WITHOUT SHOWING THE SUPER DISDURBING STUFF IS "theres something abt the johnsobs"

DONT WATCH IT ITS TRIGGERING NGL BUT I LIKE HOW IT DOESNT SHOW THE HORRIFIC EVENTS YET UR STILL HORRIFIED.

I dont want ppl to think that im saying no violent scenes should exist cuz thats not what im saying

Im saying they shouldnt be overly grotesque and brutal and drawn out and long

At that point just show a lil bit but then show how much it impacts the characters and the story like no one needs to watch a whole ass 7 minute brutal r4pe scene to get how bad it was, there comes a point where a scene is so brutal that the whole movie becomes UNWATCHABLE and thats a huge issue.

You can still show brutal things but there has to be a trade off, if its gonna be brutal make it short, idk show clips

If its gonna be long dont make it so brutal, its a movie ppl are supposed to WATCH it how do u expect ppl to watch a DISGUSTING and brutal scene like that?

You also have to show how badly it effects the story and especially the character for us to feel the impact of such a gross scene. Even if we see how bad it is it can ACTUALLY fall flat if it has little to no impact on the character and the story.
