We need to rethink how we view makeup
How we view make up
We view make up at a beautifying tool, irl facetune, cosmetic surgery without all the money to takes to actually go under the knife
A mask used to trick men
A cover up for insecurities
Why our current view is problematic
People assume those who wear makeup are insecure
People feel unattractive because they don't wear makeup
Those who wear makeup are seen as shallow and those who don't are seen as lazy and some say those who don't wear it are unfeminine
Make up is an art form
Makeup is art, your face is the canvas
The tools are all the brushes
Makeup is just as valid as an artform as face painting or tattooing, how come the latter two are art forms but makeup is “shallow” when face painting and tattooing both use the body as the canvas
How Changing our view of makeup helps us
Decreases sexism
Normalizes natural faces
