it is unrealistic to think that you are going to like or at the very least feel neutral for people, there are going to be people that you dont like and thats okayyy, thats life, not everyone will like you and you will not like everybody and thats normal, its just apart of the human experience.
you arent going to forgive everyone, there will some people that you dislike/ feel negatively about years later, or maybe until the day you die. healing is not about forgetting, healing is about accepting reality, the good and bad and finding peace, you dont have to forgive to find peace, there will be things in life that you dont like, movie characters, songs, and other things, but as long as its not negatively effecting your life then its okayyyyyy
like me not liking a character in my fave movie or show isnt negativiely effecting my love for the show or movie. so it shouldnt be impossible for me to dislike people (who i have the right to dislike) and find peace and heal, im already in the healing proccess and i never once felt like forgiving all of them was needed, and i dont think that i will think its needed.
and yes you cannot forgive someone while still disliking or feeling negatively around them, its literally the definition of the word:
- stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for (an offense, flaw, or mistake)."he was not a man who found it easy to forgive and forget"
- cancel (a debt)."he proposed that their debts should be forgiven"
